Thank you for making the Year of India a success

To our friends, supporters, sponsors, members, and Regina at large :

Our sincere thanks for making the Year of India in Canada 2011 series a tremendous success.

What a year it has been. Here and across Canada, the "Year of India" included everything from artistic performances to writers' festivals and film screenings.

In Regina, we have held at least one event every month since April, nine of which were direct from India.

Events were held both inside and outside this Conexus Arts Centre, as well as at the Regina Public Library, Luther College, and our new India Pavilion venue.

None of this would have been possible without the dedicated support of so many local and national sponsors.

We would like to recognize YoI local media sponsors: CTV, Rawlco Radio, the Regina Leader-Post, and Print-It Centres; as well as other sponsors, including: the Government of Saskatchewan, the City of Regina, SaskCulture, the University of Regina, the Regina Public Library, the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan, and Tourism Saskatchewan.

Thanks also to the various groups who generously assisted with the promotion of this year's events. This help was invaluable.

Our gratitude also goes to JP Ellson who provided consulting expertise throughout the year, and to some ICA board members were able to lend their time to this series.

Gratitude to this wonderful community for supporting the Year of India series and continuing to support the ICA. We are honoured by the popularity of Indian culture, history, and entertainment in Regina and Saskatchewan.
