On the occasion of India's Republic Day on January 26th, Regina Public Library promotes books on Indian culture on its website.
Dr. Nair (March 13, 1938 - December 24, 2011) has served on the ICA Advisory Committee and the Nair family has been a strong supporter of ICA for many years.
Dr. Nair passed away Friday, December 24, at 4:30 pm in Regina after a brave struggle with pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
Dr. Nair will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 46 years Sailaja; their daughters Deepa (Syam) and Roopa (Axel); his adoring grandchildren Liam and Benjamin; brother Dr. C.P.R. (Ravi) Nair; many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.

$30,500 raised for local charity; 30th Annual India Supper Night breaks ICA record
15 November 2011, Regina -- A record $30,500 was raised by the 30th Annual India Supper Night held on Saturday, September 24 at the Conexus Arts Centre. Organized by the India Canada Association of Saskatchewan (ICA), attendance at the event topped 500.
"We are truly excited about all the important work that can be accomplished through the help of this generous donation," said Faith Savarese, Executive Director of the Regina and District Association for Community Living (RDACL), the group to which proceeds from this ICA event were presented.
